 MINUTES  

ATTENDANCE: Christina, John, Roy, April and Bill J.

CALL TO ORDER: At 6:30 pm the meeting was called to order by Bill and opened with the Serenity Prayer.

DCM INTRODUCTION: The sign-in sheet was circulated. Minutes were not available to review.

DCM REPORT: It was reported that Juan is currently at a hospital in Las Vegas.

ALT DCM REPORT: Bill reported on the District 17 Flyers that were sent via postal mail. The mailer will cover a good size area. There was concern, if flyers don’t bring additional contribution, how long will we continue the expense? Bill requested that we give it at least 90 days, and then vote on it at District. Everyone agreed.

SECRETARY REPORT: April addressed her absence. She informed everyone in June that she would be out of town for the July meeting. Due to management changes at her work, she was unable to make the District meeting in August. She has already spoken to Scarlet about getting the notes so that the minutes can be submitted.

TREASURER REPORT: Roy reported that the treasury’s net balance was $2,600.86, which includes the $2,000.00 prudent reserve. Last months contributions are as followed: Group Contributions $30.00, Literature Sales $112.00 and H&I Donations $34.00, totaling $176.00 for last month’s income. April motioned to accept the treasurer’s report with this correction and Christina second. All in favor.

COMMITTEE & LIAISON REPORTS:

AA HOTLINE: Karen was not present. No report was given.

H&I: (position open) No report was given. John stated that Bob P has been attending the Detention Center and will be acting until position is filled.

LITERATURE: Karen was not present. No report was given.

PI/CPC: (position open) No report was given.

ALCATHONS: No report was given. It was uncertain if Loretta was still the Liaison. Christina volunteered to contact her to see if she was still interested.

WORKSHOPS: Harvey was not present. A meeting will be held the last Saturday of this month. Bill will get with Harvey for any additional information

EVENTS: Jennifer was not present. No one had any information regarding Talent No Talent.

GRAPEVINE: (position open). No report given.

LV INTERGROUP LIAISON: Kevin not present. No report given.

DISTRICT 21 LIAISON: (Spanish) No meeting in Pahrump.

WEBSITE: Carl was not present. Roy reported that Carl has been unable to update the website and is working on a solution.

Schedules: Bill reported that the Court has/will make their own copies. The First Step Club will be making their own. Due to this, the next run of schedules will not cost as much.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Delegate Conference Report Meeting: John reported that Byron F. (Area 42 Delegate) reported on the Delegate Conference Meeting. This was followed by “Questions & Answers” section. Over 35 people attended the meeting. The potluck was served after the meeting and enjoyed by all who were present. The finances were as followed: Rent $25.00, Plate Collection $20.00, Additional Potluck Supplies $9.00. Total cost of event $14.00.

NEW BUSINESS

ANNOUNCEMENTS & OTHER REPORTS

GSR REPORTS:

Noon in the Other Room–Roy had nothing new to report.

TGIF–John reported for Scarlet. 20-25 people in attendance and they are making their rent.

Boondocks–John reported they contributed $39.07 to H&I. 12-15 people in attendance and they are making their rent. Ron is still Treasurer.

Even Keel–John reported that they meet on Tuesday @ 6:30. A business meeting is scheduled to discuss the morning meeting not making their rent followed by a vote to fold or continue the am meeting.

Tuesday Women’s Group–Christina reported their meeting starts @ 6:30 pm; they are a birthday/cake meeting. 4-6 people attend. The Group was able to send her to Tonopah, their rent is paid and they mailed money to New York.

ADJORN: April made a motion to adjourn. Christina seconds the motion. All in favor.

November 2nd, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hospital.
